The abolition of the posts of four watchmen at

the Slaughter Houses,Kennedy Town, which has been recommended

by the Sanitary Board, has been approved by me to take effect

from the date of Mr. Fisher's retirement and will set free a

sum of $90 a month in the personal emoluments of the Sanitary

Department, thus enabling the increase in the salary of the

Inspector of Markets to be effected without exceeding the de-

partmental vote.
